We went live 2 years ago, and...I totally hear you. We went live 2 years ago, and are still finding configuration settings that weren't explained to us.
Besides the in-experienced SI consultants, there are also those that know the options and possibilities but don't take the time and effort to explain them thoroughly so that IT or the business can make the appropriate decisions. We had a very tight implementation timeline, and all the promises that were made about providing documentation just went by the way-side.
We even have situations where we had custom development that should not have been agreed/approved by the business or IT or the consultants, that we are now thinking about ripping out.
all the jaw clenching I have to do just makes my teeth ache.GadgetMumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07437996778798318179noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-129857922559830319.post-44931624368291497482012-02-26T10:31:59.596-08:002012-02-26T10:31:59.596-08:00Alright, I have followed this blog for a while eve...Alright, I have followed this blog for a while ever since my good friend Michael Doane suggested it to me...

Man, you may want to give these guys the benefit of the doubt but I can GUARANTEE YOU that most of them are fakes, "freshers" and likely a LOT of fraud.

PROTECT YOURSELF NOW! If you want to know the PROPER methodology to follow then get a copy of the SAP ASAP methodology.

See my recent post on this:

Why Use the SAP ASAP Methodology?
http://www.r3now.com/why-use-the-sap-asap-methodology

If you have a hard time getting it, PLEASE reach out to me through my contact info on my site. I WILL GET YOU A COPY AND WALK YOU AND ANYONE YOU WANT AT YOUR COMPANY THROUGH IT! FREE OF CHARGE!

I'm so tired of these types of abuses by the SIs who know they are robbing customers that it is frightening.

The ASAP methodology includes templates, tools, resources, instructions, and guidance on keeping your SI honest. And it includes QA check resources and guidance.

Also, GET THOSE CONSULTANTS OUT OF YOUR PRODUCTION SYSTEM!

That is one of the worst practices I have seen.

Not only are they wrecking your system to cover their tracks, you are now also paying for the premium priced Professional or Developer licenses for them as well! You're getting taken to the cleaners and this is ridiculous!

Check out my site if you want REAL guidance on keeping these guys honest. And start DEMANDING that you review EVERY resume, and do proper validation from EVERY consultant they have on your project.

THEN, when you discover how many fakes and frauds they've brought on board maybe you should start asking for credits from the SI.

Protecting Yourself from SAP Consulting Fraud

http://www.r3now.com/protecting-yourself-from-sap-consulting-fraudBillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12515971776146087110noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-129857922559830319.post-18135230113251203182012-02-26T10:21:28.698-08:002012-02-26T10:21:28.698-08:00This comment has been removed by the author.Billhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12515971776146087110noreply@blogger.com
